Who I am

I currently serve as an Assistant Professor of Community College Administration, a fully online masters degree program for the Asheville Campus of Lenoir-Rhyne University..

Before coming to L-R, I have held a variety of positions in higher education: teaching English courses face-to-face at a community college; directing and teaching in an undergraduate level human services program with satellite delivery, hybrid, and face-to-face courses; teaching traditional courses in a master's degree program in higher education; and courses in a doctoral program in community college leadership, with courses offered in various formats- hybrid, video-conference, video-streaming, and fully online.

I have even taught high school English (9th, 10th, and 12th grade) in a public school system.

My degrees are just as varied with a Ph.D in Urban Studies, an MS. ED in Counseling, and MS. ED in English Education, and a BA in English with minors in Education and Music.

I love learning and experimenting, so stay tuned!
